At HCT, Hybrid describes a plan combining recipient-channel and implanter placement approaches in selected areas after FUE donor collection. It is not a universally standardised procedure name. Your proposal should explain which approach is intended for each area, why it was chosen and how the overall plan fits your assessment.

HCT’s term brings together a recipient-channel workflow and an implanter workflow. It does not automatically mean every graft or every treatment area receives both.

Hybrid is among the marketing terms the ISHRS does not recognise as a separate harvesting technique. Ask each clinic to define its usage.

Ask what a combined approach is intended to address in your case. A clear recommendation should explain why a single approach was not selected.
What is included now?
Agree the boundaries of the proposed treatment and record any area not included. Ask what findings could change the plan after in-person assessment.
What will be documented?
Ask for the final agreed plan, the responsibilities of the treatment team and your follow-up contact. Keep your written quote and care instructions together.

Donor suitability remains essential
Transplantation requires suitable donor hair and a recipient area capable of growth. A combined workflow does not replace that assessment.

Scarring, bleeding, infection and anaesthetic reactions remain possible. A Hybrid label is not a promise of risk-free treatment.

If different areas receive different approaches, ask whether any care instructions differ. Do not combine instructions from unrelated online protocols.
